Program Inquiries and Availability

0-3 Program:

Your child must be at least six (6) weeks of age. We currently have a waiting list for our tuition-paying program for children aged 0-3. Click here for the waiting list application. In addition to the application, families must submit two (2) proofs of City Schools of Decatur residence (lease/mortgage statement and a current utilities statement) and a $50 waiting list fee. We begin the registration process for each academic year in late February. If your child is offered a spot for enrollment, you will be provided an enrollment packet, which must be submitted to the front desk along with a $50 enrollment fee. Please email Caretha Hall with questions regarding 0-3 enrollment.

Pre-K program:

Your child must be four (4) years of age on September 1, 2026. Children who are five years of age as of September 1 must register for Kindergarten. Registration begins February 2 and ends February 27. Click here for more information.

A lottery is held in early March to determine the children who are awarded Pre-K slots. Children not selected during the lottery will be placed on a waiting list. Any parent registering for Pre-K after the March lottery must visit the school and submit a hard copy of the registration packet. Parents/Guardians must complete an online application prior to submitting supporting documents in person to College Heights Early Childhood Learning Center, located at 917 S. McDonough Street. If you need assistance completing the online enrollment form, parents may contact the Wilson Center at 404-371-3601. Please email Cynthia Andrews with questions regarding Pre-K enrollment.

Required documentation for enrollment (both 0-3 and Pre-K):

Parents must provide a certified birth certificate from the county or country where the child was born, proof of the child’s immunization (DHR Form #3231), two proofs of residence in the City of Decatur, picture ID of the parent/guardian, and a copy of the child’s social security card.
