Media Center Overview

Welcome to the College Heights Media Center! Please come by and visit when you're at the school.

The College Heights Media Center has over 6,000 titles in our collection, from board books to early chapter books. Our mission is to promote early literacy by encouraging excitement about and a love of reading. Here are the ways we fulfill this mission:

• Weekly storytime for Pre-K every Monday
• Weekly storytime for preschool classes (one year olds through three year olds) every Tuesday
• Book checkout for Pre-K students
• Family/guardian/caregiver checkout
• Book fairs
• Author visits
• Destiny Discover online library catalog that can be searched from any computer
• Literacy Week activities
• Summer reading suggestions
• Resources and book recommendations tailored to young children and their unique needs, interests, and challenges
• Collaboration with teachers to support classroom learning through books and resources
